Barbour Manor Subdivision was approved for construction start in June 1970 on behalf of Peter Construction and Supply Co., Inc. of Louisville, KY. It is located in north eastern Jefferson County Kentucky, between Highway 22 and Highway 42 along Barbour Lane in ZIP Code 40241, and is governed by the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government.

In December, 1993 Peter Construction and Supply Co., Inc. transfered it's interest in Barbour Manor Subdivision to the Barbour Manor Homeowners Association, with their primary purpose being the enforcement of the Declaration of Restrictions of Barbour Manor Subdivision and in accordance with the Bylaw Articles of the Barbour Manor Homeowners Association.
